About Us

Dearborn Heights CenterThe Center for Lifelong Learning (CL2) was established by the Henry Ford Community College Board of Trustees in 1997. We are committed to the lifelong learning needs of individuals and employers seeking quality, innovative, accessible, and affordable non-degree courses. We promote economic development though a variety of training opportunities to include licensure and certification and career renewal and enhancement.

For those who want to upgrade job skills but don’t need college credit, we offer one-day programs to multi-term programs. In addition, CL2 offers continuing education opportunities that allow individuals to keep up to date in their fields, embark on new career tracks, or learn for the sheer joy of personal enrichment. Short-term professional development courses are offered on-campus and online. High demand areas include medical transcription, computer technology, web design, finance, real estate, property assessment, and foreign language. We offer professional continuing education for teachers and nurses.

Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) and Certificates of Completion are awarded upon request for successful completion of most courses.
